Open House

Every year, Leland Public School invites our K-12 school community to a kick-off event called Open House. 

At Open House,

• Elementary Class Lists are posted for the first time
• Middle and High School schedules are available for the first time
• Our Cafeteria Team offers a delicious, free Farm-to-Table meal highlighting local products
• Our PTO offers a Comet Community Swap for school supplies and Comet gear

We want you to join us! Check out the information below and mark your calendars!

Comet Community Swap

Give what you can. Take what you need.

As we get ready for a new school year, let’s help each other out! The PTO is hosting a Comet Community Swap during the Back-to-School Open House on Wednesday, August 26.

Have outgrown Comet gear, athletic gear, school supplies, a backpack, or a lunchbox your family no longer needs? Bring it with you to Open House and pass it along to another Comet family.

And you do not need to bring anything to participate! If your family could use a few things for the upcoming school year, come browse the swap and take what you need.

What can you bring?

•  Comet gear

•  Gently used athletic gear

•  Backpacks,water bottles, and lunchboxes

•  School supplies such as folders, pencils, and notebooks

•  Other school-related items

Please bring only items that are clean and in gently used or new condition.

When & Where

 Wednesday, August 26
 PTO table outside by the playground
 Bring your items with you that night

There are no limits and no one-for-one exchange. Bring something if you have it, or simply come take what your family needs!

Anything remaining after the swap will be donated to the Comet Closet or LCN so it can continue helping local students and families.

Let's start the school year by sharing what we have, helping each other out, and keeping good stuff in the hands of families who can use it!
