Leland Public School values the many ways community members contribute to the success of our students. Connecting students with caring adults promotes success, healthy behaviors, and a stronger community. We invite community members to share their time and talents by volunteering.
All adult volunteers and visitors are required to complete a background check for the safety of our students. Please bring valid photo ID when visiting Leland Public School.
How to Become A Volunteer at Leland School:
1. Read the LPS Volunteer Guidelines and Standards of Conduct to understand the importance of appropriate volunteer conduct.
2. Complete the LPS Volunteer Application. Once submitted, a background check will be conducted, and a representative from the Leland Public School main office will contact you regarding any next steps within 3-5 school days.
Additional Requirements: Overnight Chaperones
Volunteers requesting Overnight Trip clearance must complete additional background checks and Livescan fingerprinting. This process takes about 5 days and must be completed at least 5 business days before the trip.
